• This program is designed to assist youth facing barriers to employment

• Learn what employers expect, improve your work skills and achieve your goals.

• Paid program, $8:00 per hour based on a six hour day

• 8 weeks- 9:00am-3:30pm Monday to Friday

Personal Management Competencies Including:

Building a positive sense of self

• Interests, strengths, personal qualities, skills, likes, and dislikes

• Values, beliefs/attitudes and how they contribute to achievements of goals

Interacting positively and effectively with others

• Building positive relationships, resolving conflict, being open to diversity

• Helping others, as well as working effectively with and for others.

• Expressing ideas, feelings and reacting in an appropriate way.

Changing and growing throughout one’s life

• Affects of change and stress on mental and physical health

• Developing strategies to help deal with the stresses in life

Eligibility criteria for Wired for Success:

• Referred by a case manager

• 15 – 30 years of age

• Not currently collecting EI

• Eligible to work in Canada

• Serious about moving into long term employment

• Willing to attend 9:00am-3:30pm Monday to Friday
