Employ Alberta matches unemployed Albertans to employment opportunities through On-the-Job Training or Paid Work Experience in Fort McMurray, Slave Lake, and Whitecourt.

On-the-Job Training takes place at the employers’ work site and offers employers up to 70% of wages to a maximum of $390 per week to hire eligible unemployed participants.

Supplemental Training Funds in addition can be requested up to a maximum of $1,500 per participant.

Paid Work Experience is intended to support individuals to perform specific tasks, become familiar with employer work site standards and demonstrate competency and skills and offers employers a paid wage subsidy for up to three weeks of work experience.
